To celebrate the fifth anniversary of fabrique records in spring 2007, the fabrique album
has been released as a showcase for the labels alternative style. A statement that  reflects the eclectic nature of the music released over the past few years by Michael Martinek and Christian Roesner on fabrique, produced by various artists from Austria, Germany, France, Italy and the UK.

This album will consciously go against the classic best of principal and instead include some essential highlights from the colourful back-catalogue, numerous exclusives produced especially for the record like the stunning electronic debut by MTV legend Ray Cokes, a brandnew jazzy cut by the Waxolutionists, an exclusive rework by Bernhard Fleischmann, as well as remixes and rare material by artists like Hans-Joachim Roedelius.
